Beliefs
Southmont Baptist Church has no creed except the Bible. We affirm the priesthood of every believer and the responsibility of every believer under the direction of God's Spirit to read the Bible, interpret the Bible, and apply the Bible to life.
Our foundational beliefs include the authority of God's Word (2 Timothy 3:15-17), the deity of Christ (John 1:1; Colossians 2:9), and salvation by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9). We view the 1963 edition of the Baptist Faith and Message as a good summary statement of our foundational beliefs.
