Chidren's Day Out & Preschool
We believe that children are active learners. Through play, a child can: learn about the world around them; learn to deal with their emotions and how to resolve conflicts; and observe and interact with other children, as well as adults.
Our program operates on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. throughout the Denton ISD school year. We offer Later Gators, an optional extended day program where currently enrolled children may stay until 3:00 p.m. for an additional fee.
Members of Southmont Baptist Church are given priority to enroll, but members of the community are welcome in our program as well. An Enrollment Fee of $75 is payable upon enrollment and is non-refundable. We do have limited class sizes, but once classes are full, we will gladly put your child on our Waiting List.
Children's Day Out
Children's Day Out (CDO) is a Bible-based program for children ages six weeks to two years (as of September 1st). Our caring, Christian teachers use the Wee Learn curriculum as a guide to plan weekly classroom activities that will give children the opportunity to learn about God's world and how to live in it. It helps children begin to understand about God, Jesus, the Bible, church, self, their family, others, and the natural world.
CDO class schedules include:
Learning Centers/ Free Play
Group Time (includes Story Time, Music, and Finger plays)
Outdoor or Indoor Large Motor Play
Rest Time
Music & Movement (1 day per week)
Chapel (1 day per week)
A morning snack is provided for the children; Parents bring a lunch and Rest Time articles for their child.
CDO class ratios are:
Infants 1 Adult : 3 children
Ones 1 Adult : 5 children
Twos 1 Adult : 6 children
CDO Tuition is $170 per month. Supply Fee is $25 per semester.
Preschool
In our Preschool program, we strive to prepare 3-5 year olds for the Kindergarten environment. By using our Kindergarten Readiness Assessment, we will provide a positive environment where children may learn: self help skills, independence, social skills, language/communication skills, writing/fine motor skills, pre-literacy skills, math/science skills, and classroom conduct. The Wee Learn curriculum is also used to continue to introduce children to God's world.

Group Time (includes Letter/Number of the Day, Show & Tell, Music, and Finger plays).
A morning snack is provided for the children; Parents bring a lunch for their child.
Preschool class ratios are: 1 Adult: 12 children
Preschool Tuition is $180 per month. Supply Fee is $25 per semester.
